Fishing is rough on hands. The lotion is how you fix that.
Cold mornings, wind, water, fish slime, bait handling, repeated washing — by the end of a trip your hands are dry, cracked around the knuckles, and feel like sandpaper. Standard lotion helps, but most of it is filler — water, fragrance, and thickeners that sit on top of skin rather than actually absorbing.
The Pinerite Lotion is built differently. It starts with the concentrated pine terpene oil extracted directly from the same powder Pinerite uses in its soaps — the same antibacterial, skin-active compounds — blended into a premium lotion base with no added fragrance or fillers. A note on sourcing
Pinerite sources its pine terpene oil from the same sustainably harvested pine powder used across the product line — dying trees and branches cleared during fire mitigation, not old-growth timber. The formula contains no phosphates and is biodegradable. As with any lotion, avoid contact with eyes and keep out of reach of small children.

Why pick this over a regular hand lotion?
The base. Most commercial lotions are primarily water with fragrance and thickeners. The Pinerite Lotion starts with concentrated pine terpene oil — the same active compounds from the soap, now in a leave-on form. It absorbs into skin rather than sitting on top of it, and there's no artificial fragrance to deal with.
Does it leave hands greasy?
No — the concentrated formula absorbs well. You're not putting on a thick layer of watered-down lotion that stays tacky. A small amount works and absorbs quickly enough that you can handle a rod or line shortly after without it affecting your grip.
Does it have a strong pine smell?
Faint natural pine scent from the terpene oil — no added fragrance. It fades quickly after application. If you're sensitive to scented products, this is a much lighter experience than most commercial lotions.
Which Pinerite soap pairs best with it?
Any of them — but it works especially well after the 10 oz or 20 oz powdered formula since the borax in those does a thorough job cleaning and can leave hands on the drier side if you're washing up multiple times a day. It's also the natural follow-up to Katie for full-body use at camp.
