Best ways to fish it (demo)

Swim Jig Trailer Shallow grass, slow roll
Texas Rig Pitching to cover
Ball Jig Head Dragging sand or rock
Split Shot Natural subtle glides
Standard (Ball) Jig Head

When & Where: This is the Creek Leech's everyday home — rock piles, sandy flats, river seams, dock edges, and any walleye structure where a natural bottom presentation does the work.

How: Thread it straight on a round or stand-up jig head. Cast, let it sink, then work it with slow drags and deliberate pauses. Let it settle completely before moving — walleye often commit on the fall.

Why: The 3.5" profile is the classic walleye leech size. It matches what fish are conditioned to eat all season long, and the leech scent keeps them holding on long enough to seal the deal.

Tuning: 1/16–1/8 oz. for shallow water and slow presentations; step up to 1/4 oz. in current or deeper structure. Match your line weight to keep the fall natural.

Drop Shot

When & Where: Suspended walleye, post-front pressure, and finesse situations where fish are looking but not moving. Excellent on deeper structure and main lake breaks.

How: Nose-hook it and keep 8–14" of leader above the weight. Work with subtle shakes and extended dead-sticks — the leech scent does the selling once a fish moves in.

Why: The 3.5" length is an ideal drop shot size — enough profile to get noticed, compact enough to not intimidate finicky fish. Stays in the strike zone longer than any moving presentation.

Carolina Rig

When & Where: Hard-bottom flats, main lake points, and deeper structure. Great when fish are scattered and you need to cover ground efficiently.

How: Run 12–18" of fluorocarbon leader. Slow-drag along bottom and let the Creek Leech undulate freely behind the sinker. Count down on pauses.

Why: The bait moves independently of the weight, giving it a natural free-swimming action on the drag. Covering water with a scented profile is a proven formula for locating active fish.

Texas Rig

When & Where: Weedy bays, submerged wood, and mixed cover where you need a weedless presentation without sacrificing a natural look.

How: Light wire hook, minimal weight — just enough to get down. Crawl slowly through cover, pause on edges and openings.

Why: The compact 3.5" body slides through cover cleanly, and the leech scent keeps working even when the bait is sitting still in a pocket.
